Are there any spells that give templates?

I can't think of any, but are there any spells that give templates to a creature for a period? And obviously I'm not talking about the summons here.

Hmm...I am not sure, actually. Out of all the spell books I have, I don't remember any spells that do that. However, Vampire's Kiss from Magic of Faerun gives the caster vampire like abilities and from the same book, Fiend Form (I believe that is the name, unfortunately my books are still in Georgia), allows the caster to turn into a fiend and gain their abilities for the duration of the spell.

Plus there's Belsimeth's Blessing (clr5) from Relics & Rituals that allows you to become a natural lycanthrope. But in the end, I'm not sure if there's a spell that actually will grant a template.

Yes, there are numerous spells that do this.

In the Book of Exalted Deeds there is the whole Aspect of the Diety type of spells. The highest level one gives you the half-celestial template for 1 rnd/level.

Also another spell in that book permanently changes a target into an Axiomatic creature, but I'm pretty sure that it entails an XP cost.

There are numerous others in various Dragon mags as well as (I assume) the BoVD.

I was more thinking along the lines of 'gives the celestial template for 1/rd per caster level'. There reason I ask is because one of my players wants to create some spells (see here - feedback much appreciated), including one that gives the puesdonatural template to a creature, and I was wondering what level I should set it at.

The T&B one isn't that powerful, but the Epic one is ridiculous.

As it says in the link the T&B/MotP one.

Obviously the Epic one wouldn't be given by a 4th or 5th level spell.
