Are wizard spells limited by alignment?

From the SRD:
Chaotic, Evil, Good, and Lawful Spells: A cleric can't cast spells of an alignment opposed to his own or to his deity's.
There is a similar rule for druids, but I could not find one for wizards. Is there such a rule?

No, there isn't such a rule. Although if you cast [evil] and [chaos] spells all day, day after day, your DM might eventually decide that you weren't _really_ being as lawful good as you could be.

Right. Good wizards have no restriction against casting spells with the [evil] descriptor. If I was playing one, I would have to have a good reason to actually do it, however. And the DM is free to begin the slide toward evil. :D

They'd better be able too, otherwise noone who is evil can do demon summining. Planar Binding spells would require a Magic Cricle or Protection from evil. Anything else would be pretty stupid.

Why summon a demon when you can summon a celestial? As a bonus, they're much less likely to stab you in the back when the job's done. ;)

But Celestials are less likely to get some jobs done!

Calling demons is risky. That's one reason why so many evil wizards, who think they are powerful, call them. Invariably, they discover that the demon is more charismatic than they are.
