We interupt your posting for the following anouncement: For those who posted the above, please, do not turn this thread into a discussion about what the poll data might mean, or a discussion about the accuracy of ENWorld polls. For the sake of the thread, I will stipulate that ENWorld polls are not scientific and have no real intrinsic value. Another thing that has no intrinsic value is turning a thread about whether you are buying a DDI subscription and why, into a thread about 4E vs 3E, or a thread about who has the strongest statistics foo. Please adhere to the "No Edition Wars" guidelines. And, if you need to prove your statistics foo so badly, I suggest you go start a thread about statistics and have at it. Otherwise, please stick to the subject of the thread. Also, please try to refrain from making assumptions that no one here is qualified to make, such as "those playing 3e will practically all vote not subscribing". Dungeon and Dragon, although based on the 4E system, have resources and articles that are useable in any edition, or even in non-D&D systems. Some of DDIs future applications are also non-system specific (i.e. Virtual Gametable). As I stated further up thread, I'm not playing 4E, but, I'm not buying a subscription because of the lack of requested features and format in Dungeon, not because it's 4E. I am living proof that the above quote is 100% incorrect, and there are others on this thread who have posted similiar sentiments. I have downloaded every single free download WoTC has had, even the free preview 4E Dungeon and Dragon. If they were "practically" useless for someone who only plays 3E, then I wouldn't have downloaded them. However, due to the lack of features asked for in numerous threads and feedbacks (by me and many others), paying for a subscription isn't worth it to me until they do. If I ever hear, here on ENWorld or on the WoTC site, that Dungeon now has high res, full page artwork and keyed and unkeyed maps, I'd purchase a subscription on the spot. Until then, not a chance.
