People here have said they'll use it instead of buying so WotC is shooting itself in the foot. However, it may also boost sales because of the above example where players or DM's can refer to the SRD without having to buy the books so at least some of the players or DM's will be able to buy them.Can you say, "Lacking a sense of humour,"?
