She was the only character that hadn't died yet, and I was quite proud of that. I (stupidly) went off in search of the Grandfather Tree with only 1 other person (half my level. The rest of the party was busy with training, making items etc). We went into the forest and night fell. I took watch, and then I was suddenly being squeezed by this tentacle that seemed to also do acid damage. I couldn't free myself, so all I could do was fire at it. I was down to 7 hp (out of 101) when my final arrow killed it. I felt such relief when I didn't die, but I opened my mouth too soon. I melted some more for 14 damage. The person who was with me couldn't see in the dark at all, so he couldn't see what potions to take out of my pack to feed to me (and he had none of his own), so I died there and then. He tried to carry my whole body back to town, but a large ape jumped out at him. He dropped my body, and hid while the ape ripped me in half and ate a large amount of my body. Once the ape left, my partner came out of hiding, and cut off a few of my fingers to take back to town. As he came to a river, he saw a demon. He was only on 4 hp at the time, and thought he would die then too, but the demon just looked in his direction and disappeared in a blaze of flames (odd...). As he got back to town, the dwarf in our party, who is not trusted by my partner approached him. He suspected him of killing me, since I didn't return with him. Since he didn't trust the dwarf, he wouldn't say what really happened, which just made the dwarf even more suspicious. The dwarf ending up knocking my partner out and they both got dragged to the local guard house. After an hour or two of interrogation, they were both set free, and I was finally resurrected 2 few days later (game time, or should I say, a few hours later, real time).Ahhh, such a sad day. However, there is a lighter side to this. I have now lost the level of Tainted Spellcaster that I was tricked into taking a few weeks ago. Now I can reach my goal of reaching Ranger 5 / Sorcerer 2 / Arcane Archer 10 / Deepwood Sniper 2 all before reaching 20th level <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)"  data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" /></blockquote>
