[Arlington, VA] D&D 4E Experiment

Mother Superior

First Post
Right, so I am finally interested enough in 4th edition to give it a shot. What I have in mind is getting a group together for some one-shots to try out the system. I am definitely no expert on the rules, so patience would be necessary. Frequency would not be very often, maybe once a month. I might use the delves in Dungeon Delve, which I just bought, but another source would be okay, too.

If it all works out okay, we could talk about going more permanent. I live in Arlington, but I'm willing to travel a reasonable distance.

If this sounds worth a shot, PM me or reply here.

Just an update: We had our first session last Friday at the Chantilly Game Parlor--two players with me as DM. We did a low-level dungeon delve (from the book of the same name), and we started becoming familiar with the rules. (I've started an ongoing log of our experiences with 4E in my RPG blog--see link in signature.) An actual campaign--more than likely set in Eberron--will probably get under way in the near future after we get ourselves solidly grounded in the details of the 4th edition system.

One or two mature players would be welcome in our group. Ages range rihgt now from early 20s to early 40s. Since we are new to 4E, patience is definitely a prerequisite. The next game might take place in Springfield. Contact me or reply to this post if you're interested.

Thanks for the update and the blog entry. It was quite an interesting read: I am curious as to how that level 1 delve runs, in particular for people who are using it as a gateway into the 4e rules.

Thanks,

I just stumbled across this thread and was impressed with your blog entries.

I've been playing 4th ed. for about a year now and, while the initial learning curve was a bit steep, have really come to enjoy it. However, the campaign I was playing in has recently disbanded when the DM moved to Florida.

I live in Arlington, VA and if you're still looking playing 4th ed. players, or know someone who is, I'd be interested in joining up.
