Tilich work camps It's evening in the work camps just outside the town of Tilich. Many people are huddled around the various fires, drinking ale, sharing stories, and generally relieving the tension of another hard days work. Around one of the larger fires there seems to be a bit of a show going on as various people take thier turns to stand in front of the onlookers and entertain them in various fashion from songs to juggling to wild stories of times forgotten and times that just may never have been. Some of the better entertainers are treated with more ale, a few silvers, and even if they are not so good generally some applause and cheers reguardless for their troubles. A young man takes his turn to entertain - an elf perhaps for he has slightly pointed ears - but with a little more edge to his looks and a bit more solid a look than the typical elf. He starts with a juggling act - which gets a few "awws" and cheers for unlike the last juggler - he's using his daggers and after demonstrating their sharpness this act seems to be a little more entertaining. First three daggers - then four - then five - then all six daggers. The crowd roars with applause - for this young fellow appears to be truly talented. Perhaps envigored by the cheers of the onlookers (and maybe the few silvers that have already been thrown to his open pack) he ups the ante a little more. With a flury of his cloak he starts to do a dance while juggling, twirling and throwing the daggers higher and higher as his cloak whistles around as he does. He starts throwing the daggers up and catching them under his raised legs in a bit of an acrobatic show - more and more intricate his movements and dance. More applause and more gold are thrown to the young man putting on the spectacular show - he's smiling now - he knows he has their attention. A beautiful young maiden smiles back as he momentarily catches her eye. She is quite beautiful - and - well let's just say the gods were kind to her and - well - bountifull in many ways. Suddenly the young man steps on a small log left hapharzadly a few feet from the fire where he is now dancing and juggling (doubtless to get more effect from the fire glinting off the polished blades of his daggers). He slips - and trying to catch his balance - and the falling daggers at the same time - seems just a bit too much for him - and he falls - head first into the fire!! He rolls out of the other side of the blaze in a wild summersault motion - flames and embers flying from his cloak as he does. He emerges on the other side in a disheveled mess - but quickly tries to stand upright and look like it was perhaps all part of the act. Everyone is laughing and cheering at the same time and he takes a moment for a quick bow - just before he realizes his cloak is on fire!! He dances around yelling and cursing and rolling on the ground as he pats his backside and the cloak to extinguish the flames. The crowd breaks into an uproar of laughter at this - some are litterally rolling on the ground much as he - but from fits of laughter rather than being on fire! The flames finally out - he sits - his cloack flung about and his tunic in a mess. He smiles sheepishly as he rights himself and the laughter slowly dies down. He's handed a mug of ale from one of the onlookers as tears run down their face from too much laughter! "Quite - (laughs) quite a show their laddie", and with that he accepts the ale and raises it to the crowd in a toast. Still recovering from laughter many of the onlookers raise there glass to the young elf and everyone let's out a cheer - after all - planned or not - it was quite the show!
