[QUOTE="Kriyas, post: 1617757, member: 20012"] (( Well, here goes! I read up a bit on the Gnomes in this setting and a couple other things. Guess I'll just jump in feet first and see what happens! ^_^ )) The streets bustled with activity as people went about their business on such a fine morning. Few people paid any heed to the small form making her way down the street, trying to avoid getting trampled. She paused, looking around. A cart came rumbling down the alleyway behind her, and she jumped out of the way...or tried to. Stumbling backwards she tripped over a crate beside the building next to her, and fell backwards behind the box. "Oh fiddle!" The small gnome picked herself up, dusting herself off. A small silver tabby cat jumped up on top of the crate she had just tripped over and poked it's nose towards her. She looked at the cat and scratched her behind the ears. "It's okay Okena. Just me being stumble-toes again!" The cat jumped onto her shoulder, turned around so she was facing forward, and settled herself comfortably on the gnome's shoulder, purring softly. The girl looked around, stepping around the crate, and looked up and down the street. "This place is so big, I don't think I'll ever find my way around." Glancing around she saw a group of 3 people standing nearby. She thought two of them might be at least part elf. But the third was a strange creature indeed. She stood biting her lip nervously for a moment. Then she appeared to steel her nerves and walked up to the group. She reached up and tugged on the young man's sleeve. "Excuse me mister? Would you be able to tell me where I might buy a lantern?" Large, inquisitive blue eyes looked up at him from a small tan face that appeared to be more accustomed to smiling and laughing then anything else. Curly, strawberry blond hair framed her face, tossled slightly from her recent stumble, while the silver tabby cat peered up at the stranger as though sizing him up to see if he would be any threat to her mistress.
