The Hellfire was the first vehicle to be designated the "Fast Attack Vehicle", long before the SEALs picked up their DPVs, which were also initially called FAVs. The Hellfire is a military dune buggy, heavily armed with a 7.62mm machine gun, smoke dischargers, and a TOW ATGM launcher. During the last decade of the cold war, they were deployed in West Germany as a reconnaissance element and harrassing force should the Soviets and their Warsaw Pact allies invade through the Fulda Gap. Includes a Big Bang Entry for the M220 TOW Launcher and BGM-71 series TOW ATGM.</p><p></p><p><a href="http://www.bakabanashi.com/ARP/other.php" target="_blank">Big Bang Ricochet 10: The Makina Multi 163 APC</a>. An ugly little machine built for airport security. Ironicly, the vehicle design gave it the same manueverability as a jumbo jet by placing the driver so high in the vehicle that he could not easily see in front of the vehicle in close proximity. Don't go trying to parallel park this sucker! This quick little entry in the product line is actually a freebie.</p><p></p><p><a href="http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=4958&src=enworld" target="_blank">Big Bang Ricochet 11: The Renault VBL</a>. France wanted a new light armored military vehicle weighing under 3.5 tons. Two manufacturers were selected for the competition. Renault's entry was light, completely amphibious, and could carry a Milan ATGM and four missiles, along with a machine gun. However, it was the loser in the competition due to being too car-like in design, looking like some sort of odd SUV sedan.</p><p></p><p><a href="http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=4975&src=enworld" target="_blank">Big Bang Ricochet 12: France's Panhard VBL</a>. The winner of the light armored vehicle competition, the Panhard VBL has turned out to be a very reliable and versatile vehicle, adapted into more than 20 different variants, from recon vehicles to command vehicles to tank hunters, air defense vehicles, anti-personnel vehicles, and more.</p><p></p><p><a href="http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=5006&src=enworld" target="_blank">Big Bang Ricochet 13: Argentina's VELA & VELA II</a>. Argentina has a unique problem. They have plenty of airlift capacity provided by a fleet of UH-1 Iriquois choppers, but individually, each chopper cannot lift very much. Argentina requires a new heavily armed and fast scouting vehicle that weighed under 1000 kg, small and light enough to be hauled by a UH-1, and the decrepit fleet of aging M151 MUTTs and Lohr transporters weren't the answer. Instead, two civilian mechanics produced the VELA, a miniscule replica of the Desert Patrol Vehicle</p><p></p><p><a href="http://www.bakabanashi.com/bigbang.php" target="_blank">Big Bang Ricochet 14: Britain's AT105 Saxon APC</a>. In the 1980's, the Cold War was ramping up and the UK selected this armored vehicle as their mechanization element for their infantry divisions.
