Arrow & Bolt Recovery :: Mundane & Magical

I was wondering how others handle the recovery of arrows, bolts, and basically any other ammunition. Do you allow a roll?

What about magical arrows and such? Can they be retrieved (after all magical items are more resistant to breakage)? If they are retrieved, do they still retain their magical quality or do they become simply masterwork arrows?

Arrows and bolts that miss a target have a 50% chance of being salvaged. (IE 50% recovery rate)

All Items that hit a target are considered destroyed.

I don't think our Dm lets us retrieve the arrows but may be wrong as I haven't played a char that used a bow until next week
