Spring 1220 Leo thanks Yeonis, but says that a travel to Fengheld would be too time-consuming at this point. Perhaps later, but for the time being he'd be glad to settle for a letter. He soon writes one, and sends it through Yeonis. After brief consideration, he settles on the note of flattery. To Master Horst, Greetings. I, Leo Ilfetwis of House Bjornaer, do beseech your advice. I have been entrusted with the establishment of a new covenant in the Rhine Gorge, and I thought to seek for your advice on the locale. I am told you traveled this area extensively for many years, and I am sure any insights that you would care to share would be invaluable. I am particularly interested in the fate of Rheinstein, of which the Tribunal's records are dim but I understand you witnessed, or came close to it. I would also appreciate any information on the area's forests that you might provide. I trust that you will forgive me for not coming to see you in person. I am new to this Tribunal, and I am sure I would soon find the time to visit Fengheld in person. When I do, I'll be sure to express my gratitude for your advice in person. Respectfully yours, Leo Leo's response to Consecratus is similar. He thanks him for the offer to establish a chapter house, but says he has not heard of chapter houses before, and isn't certain he is free to make this choice. At any rate he intends to visit Fengheld itself in the not-so-distant future, and he will be in a better position to reply then. He does, however, send a letter to Colonge. Sodales, I, Leo Ilfetwis of House Bjornaer, send you greetings. I wish to inform you that I have been tasked with establishing a new covenant in the Rhine Gorge, and so that we will soon be neighbors. I wish us to be good neighbors, and for this purpose I would like to know what interests you have in the region, so that we would not accidentally hamper them. If it is your will, I intend to visit the area within a few months, and we could talk in person then. Until then, I am to be found in Durenmar. May Hermes guide your way, Leo Ilfetwis Summer 1220 Leo smiles bitterly. "I think the mundane cities will put a dint on the areas's primeval magic. Again, I understand his Deleterious Circumstances to halve the bonus to the roll (in this case 0), not the roll itself.
