The mages opened up some kind of infernal zone...maybe one that was here all along...and summoned out of it some kind of creature that they trapped in a magic circle. Little did they KNOW that the creature was a baby until its MOTHER came roaring out of the void, all claws and flame, and slew them to the last!"</span></p><p></p><p>She nudges the bones with her boot toe. <span style="color: lime">"The last being this poor sod."</span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: lime">"But! It STILL couldn't free its baby from the circle! So then the duke's brother comes in here and encounters it and it says, 'free my baby and I'll go, or give you riches or whatever...but if you don't, I'll take all of YOUR children until mine is freed! And the duke's brother, being a normal sort of man, panicks and flees and never comes back. And the demon is enraged and now it works its curse on the castle and everyone inside!"</span></p><p></p><p>Ilshana finally, FINALLY, is obliged to take a breath.</p><p></p><p><span style="color: Lime">"So it all comes down to that demonic baby, and what we do with it."</span></p></blockquote><p></p>
