Leo nods. "Unless we'll find information to the contrary in those writings, it appears that these foolish wizards already consigned their souls to hell. Such transactions are final; even if we were to release their souls from this Barbatos demon, they will only be consigned to another hell. If we'll discover that they were kidnapped into hell, now... well, we could inform their sodales. I don't see why I should journey to hell, or even yonder regio, to free their foolish souls. I owe them nothing." "But we have little time to translate their scrolls. We have a curse to lift. But, we'll be there in the vulnerable twilight, when the Parma needs to be renewed. A good time for the demoness mother to attack... Also, being consigned to hell by Divine Judgment is considered irreversible, but demons can drag people into hell unjustly. If what happened here is the latter, then we can in principle reach in and pull them out. But that means fighting off the demons, surely, and this is a very, very dangerous enterprise. So - I vote we stay here till morning, then try to subdue the demon-child and throw it into the regio.
