As a kid I was obsessed with reptilian races (boy would I have loved Dragonborn back in the 90s), and Dragonlance. But this painting... the almost too-real winter setting, very familiar to home, adds a wonderful contrast between the fantastic and the mundane. Plus I always interpreted the dragon on the left being petrified (ie, was killed, turned to stone) which is why the other Draconians look on edge, wary and defensive adds drama and intrigue.It is truly one of my favorite pieces ever from D&D.</blockquote>
