  • As I mentioned a couple of days ago, the brand new dndclassics.com sites has launched. Run by DTRPG/RPGNow, it allow you to buy D&D products from all editions in PDF format, from BECMI, AD&D 1st Edition, 2nd Edition, D&D 3rd Edition, and 4th Edition. They're not all there yet, but I'd guess they're adding them over time. Wired.com has an article announcing it and, according to that article, they are fresh, searchable scans of the products, and Examiner.com has an interview with DTRPG.
    • The server seems to be struggling right now. If you can't get in, don't keep trying - try again later.
  • WotC's latest playtester profile is Matt James.
  • D&D Next Goals Part III -- Mike Mearls gives a standard rules overview, announces the above D&D Classics PDFs, and reveals that the barbarian class will be unveiled at Winter Fantasy (24-27 Jan). "The barbarian focuses on rage... we're developing some options a barbarian can always use that reflect a reckless fighting style and quick surges of power at the cost of defense."
  • Flying in Style -- "If you want to impress the bystanders, what you really want is a flying mount. James talks this week about the things that adventurers, villains, and the occasional elite cavalry use to fly in style."
  • Book Club: Lesser Evils -- "Join us in welcoming back Erin Evans for her third go-around with the Book Club and our 16th discussion! We'll be reading Brimstone Angels: Lesser Evils, the sequel to Brimstone Angels."
