Just wondering... Wizards (the other class with a book full of magic) are the only class who can cast every spell they know as a ritual from their spellbook. What would it take for an Artificer to be able to cast their Ritual spells from their Schematic book even if they didn't prepare them as spell inventions? To be clear, the relevant spells would be: 1st: Alarm, Comprehend Languages, Detect Magic, Detect Poison and Disease, Identify 2nd: (Librarian's Helper if available) 3rd: Water Breathing, Water Walk The RAW options I am seeing are: - Ritual Caster Feat RAW this doesn't include Artificer but if you choose the wizard spell list you could write more than double the spells (including all Artificer rituals except Detect Poison and Disease) - Multiclass Wizard 1 allows you to cast all spells your wizard can prepare to be cast ritually. If you want higher levels than 1 you'd have to raise your wizard level. Warlock 3 (Pact of the Tome) can take the "Book of ancient secrets" which allows you to write any ritual spell (not just one class) but also dependent on your warlock level Two ideas that I'm pondering with are: - Field Discovery Allowing the use the wizard's Ritual casting feature (maybe even "boosting" it at a higher level with the "Ritual Efficiency" upgrade) or maybe even the warlock's "Book of Ancient Secrets" - Magic Item I'm wondering what something like a "Ritualist's Bookmark/bookstand" would be? I'm thinking of an item (with attunement by an artificer). Maybe an uncommon version that allows you to ritually cast artificer spells you got written in your schematic book (as spell scroll schematics) ritually even if you don't have them prepared. For more flexibility maybe even a rare version for wizard spells (or a very rare one for cleric/druid spells?) Since there seem to be quite a few artificer fans here... Comments, ideas, ...?
