Artistic Question: Perspective

If you were to do an adventure splash cover, and chose to do a "Round 1" ie a party of adventurers engaging a group of monsters, what perspective would look better? From the characters POV, the monsters, or a third person sideview?

Over the adventure's shoulders with the monster leering high overhead. You show the shock and scared faces of some of the characters as they turn to flee or try to regroup. Maybe have one dangling from the creature's maw and another flattened under its front claw.

Pictures are always of the adventures facing yet another terror and winning. Give it some realism and humanity.
