They possess an imprint of the imagination of the maker to aid in the forming of scenes and the confusing of enemies. They are most usually found underground, or in castles or vaults, guarding against any who may wish to pass. Combat: Mosaicans vary considerably in their attack methods. Some prefer to wait upon the floor, ready to send sharp rocks to discourage casual intruders, only changing their form to attack if nothing else works. Others wait upon the walls, ready to spring out the moment a trespasser comes within range. Others split into hundreds of fragments, slashing away at their foes. Most use a combination of all. Animate Scene (Ex): As a full round action a mosaican can reasemble its natural form of a flat surface scene to a life-sized version of the original guardian image, or vice versa. Reguardless of the shape it takes it is capable of only two attacks. A two-legged form has a speed of 30 ft., while a form with four or more legs possess a speed of 40 ft., and a no-legged form such as a serphent has a speed of only 20 ft. Fragment Spray (Ex): Once every minute a mosaican can let out a 20-foot cone of jagged stones that imbed themselves in their victim's skin, dealing 2d6 slashing damage, DC 18 reflex save for half. The bits of stone within the wounds then pull themselves loose causing an additional 1d4 damage, and form together into simple bumble-bee sized shapes that fly back towards the shape that sent them and are reabsorbed. Immunity to Magic (Ex): A mosaican is immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance. In addition, certain spells and effects function differently against the creature, as noted below. A transmute rock to mud spell slows a mosaican (as the slow spell) for 2d6 rounds, with no saving throw, while transmute mud to rock heals all of its lost hit points. A stone to flesh spell does not actually change the mosaican's structure but negates its damage reduction and immunity to magic for 1 full round. Prestidigitation (Su): At will a mosaican may use a type of prestidigitation that allows it to change its colors to match its image(s), make itself appear soiled, old, cracked, damaged, or even newly laid, sparkling clean and flawless. Treadeasy (Ex): A mosaican spread out upon the floor can abruptly spring up sharp stone into those transversing upon it, acting as caltrops. Variegation (Ex): As a full round action a mosaican can split into 2 large mosaicans, 3 medium, 6 small, 10 tiny, or a swarm. The resultant creatures retain an exact division of the original hit points, except for a swarm which together retains the ammount before splitting. These forms are always the same in shape. ---- Will be working on the stats of the other smaller mosaicans and their swarm. Also, if anyone has any ideas for the specifics on how to make one, feel free to suggest.
