TPK. Just kidding! But towards the end, it could have been... There was an eclipse that sent most of the people in Phrada into a panic yet again, and the lunch meeting with one of the Tyrants of Phrada was postponed to dinner for the four of you. Meanwhile, Asad had stumbled upon a ring of thugs that were intent on doing something bad, so of course he kept tabs on them and followed them to the Tyrant's house during dinner. Soon enough he heard a scream and rushed right in... A fight broke out in the Tyrant's home, and everyone got involved in protecting him, especially Cyris by taking down the would-be assassin in two blows. Tariq led a charge outside to fall down laughing in the courtyard. Ajax followed, staying cautiously out of the way throughout the fight, and tumbled a few times to get in position for some flanking backstabs. Asad made his way into the courtyard, looking for the woman spell-slinger, and hopped up onto the balcony when she promptly vanished. Not seeing her, Asad tried to death-from-above one of the 3 tougher scoundrels that was going toe-to-toe with a more serious Tariq but narrowly missed. Asad then decided to position himself so as to flank the baddie that was hurting Tariq, but failed by accidently tumbling his head into the pommel of the baddies sword - instantly knocking him cold for the remainder of the fight. The woman caster escaped along with 3 of the lesser thugs. Later we learned that the other 4 Tyrants of Phrada were also attacked, and 2 of them were killed. The Tyrant that had invited us for dinner then gave us a mission to scout out the strategic location of Sieda-Bel, which had been sacked by nomad raiders 10 years ago. Apparently this is where the Ghinn has been directing their scouting efforts, and may leave Phrada unscathed, although they are probably behind the assassination attempts in Phrada. So a long debate was had on what to do next as the disks in Heta became Cyris' priority, meanwhile Asad pushed to investigate Sieda-Bel. Then Cato cast Augaury to get a hint, at least for the next 1/2 hour, and it directed that the better choice would be to go to Sieda-Bel. So we left on our horses the next day towards... Sieda-Bel...travelling by night, resting during the day. On the 5th day out, we saw and heard some commotion off the side of the road and decided to check it out. The mercinary protectors of Phrada were sparring at range with a group of Ghinn archers, and all were mounted. The mercs were outnumbered 25 to 35, and they were out of arrows unlike the Ghinn. The rest escaped by us although we found out how tough they could be. It was on this 5th day of travel to Sieda-Bel that we stopped.
