Since it's based on obtaining spell level 4 and not any solid cleric class feature, you could probably convince the DM to let you get it even though you'll never hit cleric 7.</p><p></p><p>Tome of Battle classes like Crusader gives strike maneuvers to do good damage with pretty much any weapon. Crusader just happens to have a prestige class that advances cleric casting along with maneuvers, so I chose that one. Crusader's also similar in theme to paladin. The Superior Unarmed Strike feat in that book will help keep your unarmed damage up.</p></blockquote><p></p>
