Asgard usually comes out on a bimonthly schedule, but it's a little late this month, thanks to a dearth of submissions. The next issue will be out by the end of the month, and will contain a new dream-based magical prestige class, an alternative martial artist class, sample near-epic power weapons, an article musing on the different roles paladins play, reviews, a new tavern card game, simple rules for beauty competitions (to go with the issue's mini-theme, a Swimsuit Edition), and of course a GenCon report. Basically, anyone can submit articles to Asgard, and if the article is well-done and fully fleshed-out, it will be included. All submissions are on a volunteer basis, but if you're looking for an excuse to get off your butt and flesh out some rules or ideas you have, Asgard is a good reason. You'll be published, in a way, and your work will be read by the over . . . I think the number is something like 5000 people a month who read the magazine. On the art end of things, after I get a good quantity of articles, I usually send out an email to the artists I've worked with in the past, asking for them to help if they're able, and I'll also post on this messageboard and WotC's, seeing if there's any interest. I usually get enough help to fill out an issue, but not always, in which case issues might look a little spartan. Thankfully, our layout designer, Duncan Fielden, is a brilliant individual, and can work wonders. If you're concerned about how fast we reply . . . well, usually I'm able to reply within a day or two, but I have a nasty habit of missing one email out of 10, and forgetting about it for a week or more. So if you don't get a reply within a day or two, send another email. I hope that helps.
