Well, he's both, in a way. See, C.A. and I both felt (even before Hamunaptra ever came up, though we didn't know the other agreed with us) that it was inappropriate in some settings--not all, but some--to give the gods alignments at all. If they are truly divine beings, they are above (or at least outside) mortal concepts of morality. They may have good reasons for doing things that seem evil to us, or vice-versa. So the gods of Hamunaptra are described, and given personalities, but not alignments. What that means is, those who see Set as a dark god of snakes will worship him as such, and they'll gain power as such. And since Set is a warrior god associated with night, it's safe to say that the majority of his priests probably lean toward evil. OTOH, if you wanted to play a lawful good priest who worshipped Set in his capacity as Ra's guard on his journey through the Underworld at night, you certainly could. She does. She's a goddess of war and judgment both. Divine heka, innate heka, divine akhu, and innate akhu. All the races but humans have a single specific patron deity. (The reasons for that, and the reasons humans do not have one, are explained in the book.) That doesn't mean members of the race can't worship others, it's just not common. (We also explain why elves can breed with other races but others cannot; so no, half-elves don't have their own patron.) Elves are associated with Isis, and gnomes with--nah. I think I'm going to leave some stuff for the book. You'll be surprised, though, and it's one of the coolest ideas C.A. came up with, IMO. :] Not as defined in R&R, but there are rules for ritual use of magics. Nobody's universally evil, and in fact Redlanders are entirely acceptable as PCs. They aren't as "civilized" as the Blacklanders, and there is often conflict between them, but that makes them neither evil nor unintelligent by default. There's even a fixed, major Redlander community or two. Wow. Uh... That's a toughie. There are a lot of artists whose work I really like, and a lot I don't care for. If you're asking about Hamunaptra art specifically, I'm a big fan of Beth Trott. (Not that I dislike the others, mind, just that I really like her stuff.) If you're talking about more generally, I really don't know that I could narrow it down.
