Well, if you do indeed want a complete conversion rather than just putting D&D classes into an otherwise AU game, that will be a little more work, but not at all impossible. A barbarian/bard, for example, would probably be an unfettered/akashic, with some musical flavor thrown in. Kinda neat, actually. A fighter that focuses on archery might be a hawk totem warrior, while one that wears a lot of armor and uses a big weapon would be a warmain. A wizard would more or less be a magister, although making them a runethane would be a pretty interesting twist. All of them will require some paradigm shifts, but it might really spice up the game with some new takes on things.

Re: Bards... The short answer is, there's no translation needed. Want a bard? Put in a bard, straight from the Player's Handbook. It's all fully compatible. The longer answer is, the few minor issues that do come up will be addressed in the supplemental DM's Screen/Player's Guide that comes out in Sept. Mostly, though, this will be guidelines to determine the heightened and diminished effects of other d20 spells, adding in the new descriptors where needed, and things of that nature. Not much on character conversion. That said, just for fun, I might take a few classes from the PH and write them up as if they were AU classes and put them on my website. In truth, though, they wouldn't be that different. QUOTE]The main reason I am asking theses questions is because I am planning on converting my existing campaign over to UA in August.
