Each geographic section (ie, chapter in the setting guide) is covered and gives typical social, religious, and political ideals of the area.There will also be DCs set for characters outside of an area to see if they may know something about it. ie: DC 25 for someone from Brandobia to know about Gillia being ruled by a vampire. Simply put, it will give everything that a player will need to make a very good and informed background for a character while giving the DM a deeper understanding Tellene itself. It will also help a player understand how to roleplay a character in-game with information on beliefs typically held by individuals who are raised in particual areas and how they would react to individuals from another area. (ie. How Brandobians feel about elves.)And another quote--I actually talked with some of the co-authors about the Primer, and it's supposed to introduce KoK to players. It's sort of a summary of "what the players can and should know about the world". At least, that's the way I've heard it. It would represent a lot of knowledge skills, rolled into one. There's also a lot of cultural tips on how each of the different sub-groups interact with each other.
