Dr Morgan Wells Morgan returned to Daggerford in something of a worried haze. He'd spent most of the time since he'd seen his fellow Daggerfordians at Blackstaff Tower in Waterdeep. He'd met the seventh Blackstaff herself, Vajra Safahr, who had helped him to find what he was looking for in one of the Tower's libraries. While it was always excellent to solve a mystery, and to know your enemy, the discovery had only the opposite effect than to ease his mind. Indeed, it was very troubling. He brought the information to Titus' Uncle, the Wizard Ashfell, and together they had started to formulate a plan. Titus would entreat his cousin Maldwyn, the Duke of Daggerford, for aide, and they would gather their friends in Daggerford where they would discuss the details. Everything was hush-hush, as it was well known that Thay had spies everywhere, and Morgan had returned to Daggerford as a simple traveller. He visited his parent's farm, which was located between Daggerford itself and the hamlet of Enfield. It occurred to him as his parents, proud of their son returning from the City of Splendors (a place that they had never seen, but believed to be even grander than it was, which was quite something), that he might never see them again, if things were to go spectacularly wrong. When the time came for the 'big audience', he packed up his notes, and set off on foot. His mother packed him a basket of his favorite foods, and she kissed him goodbye. She had no idea where he was going, other than that it was Important, but still she wiped a tear from her cheek as she waved him farewell, and held his father's arm. They stood there on the porch as he crested the hill and took one last glance back at his childhood home.
