He looked over the castle walls, with its inner gardens (he saw no less than three gardeners working there, who paid him no mind). Finally, he looked at the castle itself, a great manor house surrounded by its own walls and towers.In a window on the upper floor, he spotted the duke's sister, Lady Morwen. She was watching the events at the gate with a stern, angry face. At first, Tommi thought that she was somehow angry with them, but then she spotted him, and her expression changed. First, surprise at seeing him on top of the church, then bemusement. Then she shook her head sympathetically and shrugged. She did not approve, but it was out of her hands.</blockquote>
