Message: <blockquote data-quote="VLAD the Destroyer" data-source="post: 9644508" data-attributes="member: 6803188">Lionel takes a big swig of his drink and bite of the cheese while listening to Tommi and the bartender speak.  He looks over at Tommi at the mention of the trolls attacking the Trade Way to the south.  He knew his friend might want to help and he felt the same but was unsure what they could offer.  He also realized that they might not have time to lend help as they where in a hurry to get to the castle.  He then thought about the location of Dragonspear Castle and realized that they might encounter these trolls on their journey anyway.He looks over at Tommi when the man offers to help and nods.  He didn't feel right just letting the town fend for themselves.  But could they afford the delay.  He was about to bring up his concerns when the bartender mentioned how close the trolls are to the town.  His eyes go slightly wide as Tommi pays.Tommi had laid out the options pretty well.  Lionel did not like the idea of stealing a horse.  He also didn't like the idea of getting a horse or some other means of travel and leaving the town high and dry.  But they might have to if the delay caused their other mission to fail.  Lionel furrowed his brow feeling another headache coming on.  Lionel speaks softly."I don't know Tommi.  I don't like leaving the town to the trolls but I'm not sure we have time to help.  Plus we can't just agree to help without talking to the others first."  Lionel rubs his temple trying to get the dull ache to go away. "Though it might be moot since we need to go south to get to our destination.  If these trolls are south of us we might just end up in their path anyway."Lionel looks at his friend.  It might not hurt to talk to this Marshal Stratus.  but in the end they would need to go back to their friends and discuss before they could agree to help."Tommi, what do you think?  Might be a good idea to talk to this Marshal Stratus.  See if he even thinks the trolls will risk raiding the town before we make any offers of help.  I think we'll need to talk to the others before we agree to anything like that."</blockquote>
