Not sure if anyone else has picked this up or started to play, but I thought I would throw out some first impressions.
First off, this isn't a CRPG...it's first and foremost an action game where button-mashing and combos are the name of the game. If you liked things like Devil May Cry, then this is probably up your alley...
The visuals, IMHO, are simply awesome. I really think they've done an absolutely great job portraying a number of different environments across Faerun.
The voice work (including that of Capt. Luc Picard) is similarly pretty sweet. Likewise, the music is well done and seems to fit well.
Some reviews have criticized the camera and there are times where it is indeed annoying that you are playing with a fixed camera. There are places in the game though where the fixed camera is clearly intended and is clearly used to enhance the dramatic effect. In other words, the fixed camera seems more like a design choice than an oversight.
I won't give away the story other than to say that the story is solid, drawing the characters into the plot and development of the game.
