It felt more like old times: on watch, camping out under the stars with a campfire, the anticipation of a mission, a group of people you trust with your life. It relaxed the young man. He'd need to talk to the Colonel to stop calling him 'Sir'. It was jarring and didn't sit well with him - at least not while they were out here. He wasn't used to a chain of command - he was used to a team. A collaboration. Besides, despite all his experience, he was by far the rookie of the group.</p><p></p><p>By the time Doc tapped him on the shoulder to take watch, Donnell was at peace. He'd even managed to fix his breastplate so it was more comfortable to wear. He sat by the fire for a while to enjoy it since there wouldn't be a fire tomorrow night - especially if there were scouts flying above them. He'd rather get there in the evening, using twilight to cover their approach, find a good hiding spot to camp and then approach in the wee hours of the morning, get a good rest and then move in before the guard changed. Maybe they could get close enough for the others to do their divinations before camping. He'd suggest it in the morning and see what the others had to say. He crawled into his bedroll next to the fire and let sleep wash over him.</p><p></p><p>In the morning, over a warm breakfast, he discussed his ideas with the group.</p><p></p><p>[ooc]Kharu is human too, so I don't suspect he has darkvision - although, it'd be easy enough for him to shapechange into something that has it.</p><p></p><p>It will be useful to have Tiny Hut the next day to cover our camp. Make it rock coloured. It won't really help us hide the horses though but we can probably find a good hiding spot for them.</p><p></p><p>Obviously, I agree that we should approach in the morning but very early.[/ooc]</p></blockquote><p></p>
