When looking in the review section, i have the ability to amend products for other companies. This is definitly something that should be corrected.

Actually, you don't have that power.

You have the ability to SUGGEST amendments to products, but it is still the review admins who say yes or no to these amendments.

In this way, a fan can amend a product belonging to a company that does not actively post here.

Yep, that's right. You, as can anybody else, can enter amendments, and then they enter a queue for approval. Cool, eh?
