Message: <blockquote data-quote="takyris" data-source="post: 1734543" data-attributes="member: 5171">I subbed.  The final version of my synopsis and chapter section is at work, and I'll post it tomorrow, but the short version is something like this:Skil had the makings of a great minstrel, but in the Last War, Breland used her changeling skills to turn her into a spy... and then later turned her out of a job.  Now she wanders the land as a con artist, using the skills Breland taught her to steal her day's pay, along with Reliance, a warforged pickpocket who quite literally has a heart of coal.When Skil and Reliance hear about a small town in the Eldeen Reaches that is still waiting for the return of its local heroine, a paladin who left after a prophetic dream to fight in the Last War, it seems like an easy mark.   The paladin will almost definitely not be returning, since Skil herself killed her late in the war, and it's a simple matter to do a little research, put on a new face, and ride into a town a paladin, ready to take whatever gifts they bestow and get out of town with none the wiser.But when a dragonmarked sorcerer who was secretly in love with the lost paladin becomes suspicious of Skil's story, things get complicated... and when a dark horde of fiends surrounds the town and the townsfolk look to their recently returned hero to save them, Skil and Reliance are forced to use all their skills to pull off the biggest con of their lives...That's not exactly how I wrote it (I explained things in more detail), but that's more or less the feel I was going for.</blockquote>
