I quit at the last moment, mostly because I realized that I wont be having enough time to write the novel in the future (other plans in mind). But my plot had cools things that are worth sharing here: *The main character was Seth, a male kalashtar ex-Citadel member with one leg and the 'heart' of a warforged (during a recognissaince --sp?-- mission to the Mournland, he lost them to an accident, but an old warforged companion --see below-- sacrificed himself in order to save the leader and the mission, thus donating his heart, which was an ancient relic from Xen'drik that gave him life). In the plot, Seth was supposed to be uncovering the mysteries of some 'dreams' he was having, which really were the warforged's stored memories. *Another character (Vins, a male changeling) has been raiding House Orien and House Lyrandar caravans and sailing ships for the past four years to build his own airship. *Cyrus Barent (the old male warforged) was some kind of warforged 'prototype' which came into existence when House Cannith brought an ancient shard from Xen'drik that gave him life and helped to develop the warforged of the present. He was sent in a secret mission to retreive sources of negative energy in Aerenal, and the slaughter that he made there left him with guilt for the rest of his life, until he decided it was time to die and save a dear friend (Seth). *The plot mostly circled around the four main characters trying to clear their fugitive status, which came when a corrupt Citadel captain framed them after they were sent (by the captain) to Eston (Mournland) with the purpose of salvaging some documents of a plan that the Blood of Vol was scheming there. The plan was to empower warforged with negative energy. *I was planning a combat scene with a Lyrandar airship vs. Vins' airship. Now that's cooler that the top-of-the-train fight. Anyways, I hope someone at least use these ideas for a campaign. Anyone went to the 'freelance for WoTC' seminar in Gencon?
