Here is some ideas the Council thought of and your vote can help focus us on what you like to see. The list is not all inclusive so if there is something that you really want to see, let us know.

You can choose more than one category.

Here are some of the ideas for the website.

Spotlight On - a featured NPC, an Diamond Throne organization, a unique geographical location, lifestyles, etc.

Countdown To - like the popular Countdown to 3E / FR /3.5E features that WOTC has done in Dragon.

Articles suggesting how AU can be incorporated into published campaign settings.

Conversion articles - help in converting spells / concepts from D20 publishers for AU (and vice versa)

AU fiction

AU Story Hours

Other: the basics

If I don't know a thing about the Diamond Throne I'm going to want to know the big picture. One of my big gripes of Kalamar for a very long time is that they didn't bother to give the overall picture of the setting. They assumed you had read everything and were up to speed on things (this may have changed since, I stopped reading KoK stuff).

Who are the good guys?
Who are the bad guys?
Oh, moral relativism? Nifty. Then what are the factions and why should I care about them?

just my two cents

Possible features:

- AU iconic characters,
- AU web enhancement introductory adventure to get a feel of the new setting (there are many good worlds out there, after all),
- AU playtest notes, tips on character creation,
- AU locations, a tavern, a town or a castle would not hurt.

It's your site too.

I just would like to chip in here that one of our goals with the Council of Magisters is "by the fans, for the fans".

Sure, right now the Council will be generating a lot of content so we can help educate people as to what AU is all about.

But once the book is out and people have had a chance to sink their teeth into it, we want to recognize and showcase what people have done with AU in their games. It may be as simple as "Here's a link to the web site of my AU campaign" all the way up to posting fan-submitted classes, adventure seeds, locales, etc.

I really expect this dialogue to change from a "hey, tell us about spell weaving" to more of a "hey, check out this cool champion concept we're using!"

I think there may be a perception that because it's an "official" fansite, only the Council is allowed to generate the content. That's definitely not the case.

It's your resource, we want you to be a part of it!

Using 3.5 PH

I would like to see how the core classes from the 3.5 Player's Handbook would work in the Diamond Throne setting.

It is so much easier getting your players to try a new setting when they are familiar with what they own already. We took a vote and we decided to update to 3.5e.

Since I will be the main DM for Arcana Unearthed and the Diamond Throne, I will probably be the only one who buys this right when it comes out. I will then slowly ease them into the setting and the rules. Hopefully, they will love it enough to purchase their own books.

Peace and smiles :)
