Ah, Queenie, I should mention that if you're going to purchase the books, I'd recommend buying 1 to start: the system is 100% compatible between all 3 lines, thankfully. Edge of The Empire is if you want to play a character centered on more of the Lawlessness of the Outer Rim: Here you have your Fringers, Bounty Hunters, Smugglers, etc., but also Colonists, Merchants, and Tech Specialists too. Age of Rebellion is all about being a member of The Rebel Alliance, so every career centers on being a part of the fight. Still, you also have Commanders, who are more about leading their allies, or even Diplomats who try and drum up support for the Rebellion or incite people to try and overthrow the Empire Finally, Force and Destiny is all about, well, The Force. Every career here is Force Sensitive and can build into a variety of ways, from just being very skillfully competent with only a little bit of Force Power to going full-blown Jedi, with the lightsaber and the mind tricks and everything else. With that said, Force Sensitive Characters are Relatively Equal to their Counterparts. While The Force is a huuuuge benefit, this is a Point-Based system, so if you're spending your XP in upping your Force Powers, you're neglecting your Skills and Talents that make you better at your chosen career. The Mind Trick may be helpful, but someone with a sufficiently high Charm or Deception could probably do just as well and maybe even get a few bonuses out of it. Granted, even a Wookiee isn't lifting and throwing a TIE Fighter, and the sneakiest assassin is still not as invisible as a fully-trained Jedi Shadow who has been putting all their points into stealth-based force powers and their talent tree. You get the idea: The Force is powerful, but at a cost to everything else. However, it can make up for what you lack.
