You'll have to have a date in mind and a check in hand before you get your room, chairs, and tables (I use to work for the university when I went to school there). Tons of places to eat around that part of town, everything in walking distance, but also tons of traffic and parking issues for people driving in.Another option for rental which may be less pricey is community rec. centers. We have DGD at a rec room, everyone pitched in $2 per game and it covered the price of the rental. The rec center also had all the tables and chairs for us. I think there was a rec center in south Austin.... maybe near Manchaca??? Memory fails me. I'm getting old....Hope this helps.
