Fair enough. Mine's the Crow Road by Iain Banks.

Mine is the Amber Spyglass.

I can't believe the Bible got higher than the Faraway Tree. That and the Enchanted Wood contain some of the best damn memories of my childhood. The Bible just doesn't do that.

Can't say I've read that one. What's it about?

It's set in the modern world. It's abotu a guy who's trying to unravel his family's past, while arguing with his parents and chasing an unobtainable girl. It's kinda a murder mystery, but not.

He write's really reallt good sci-fi under the name of Iain M. Banks. The Player of Games is unbelievable. It's pretty easy to get his stuff in Australia. Try Dymocks or soemwhere like that.

A country where Tolkien is number one. My respect for Australia has risen considerably. They definitely know a good book when they read it.
