I toyed with the ale standard, and it works well for an 'Alaska Gold Rush' milieu to match the inflated prices, but for a more settled milieu I found it worked much better to keep the sp/day standard and reduce inflated prices in line; often with fairly minor tweaks - 5cp gets you a gallon of ale, say; a flagon for 1cp.</p></blockquote><p></p>
