All of the comics by darkhorse (at least those in the actual continuum and not the batman crossover universe) have held very tightly to the books and the movies. This movie, like it or not, is part of a larger series and should take that into consideration. I am just afraid they have taken what was a very rich world and environment and turned it into jason vs freddy type of fan service horror drivel. Now, having said that, I do not think they should have to stay dogmatic and it is ok to seperate yourself from the source material (reason I didn't have problems with xmen like some). I will go see it and see how they pulled it off. I would just *also* like to see another movie in the same universe/continuity that the other 6 movies have been in.</blockquote>
