Skinny gruffly shoves "Kevin" backward into the Security office, where Kevin stumbles and falls backward onto the floor. "Hands up!" he orders the rest of the security employees, before firing a warning shot at one of the camera monitor screens in the room. Skinny's intimidation roll vs. the security logistics goons: Charisma + Intimidation + modifiers 4 (character has superior weapons/subjects are unarmed) = 9 dice. Skinny scored 6 hits, however his social limit is only 5, so one his hits is discarded. Total hits: 5 Kevin's opposed roll = automatically failed Goon 1 = 4 hits Goon 2 = 0 hits Goon 3 = 0 hits Goon 4 = 1 hit Goon 5 = 2 hits All of the Security goons are convinced that Skinny will kill them if they don't do what he says. "Hands off consoles! Now!" He orders. The security goons look between each other for a moment, each obviously silently begging the others not to do anything stupid. "Everyone on the ground!" The goons drop prone wherever they happen to be sitting or standing, scrambling to obey Skinny. Thankfully, Casper doesn't have to taze anyone in this room. She beckons Heartbreak over to the computer console that she thinks controls the drones. When Heartbreak approaches the terminal, he can pretty easily confirm Casper's intuition. This terminal shows the "vital signs" of the drones, most importantly a warning for when the drone is under attack, or initiating combat. This terminal can be used as a kill switch, that can shut off individual drones in the event they are behaving erratically or malfunctioning. The terminal can also issue a "return to base" command, which will order the drone to return to the very room where the runners are now standing. Just like the kill switch, this can be used on any of the drones at any time. Apparently, this room doubles as the maintenance room for these machines, and now that the group has a chance to look around, they can see a workbench in a large work area in a corner of the room, which had been out of sight of the doorway. Heartbreak's cyberdeck comes with a retractable universal cable, which he can use to make a direct connection to hack this machine. He does not have to be on the CTI grid to do this. Once the connection is made, he will be able to mark the device and use commands just as if he had accessed it through the grid icon. Unfortunately, this machine is not capable of remotely reprogramming the drones targeting autosoft. Saint is still waiting outside the office, in the hallway with his two hostages. Thankfully nobody else has entered this area in the few seconds it took to storm the security office, but Saint probably ought to figure out what to do with them now, as any second another employee could stroll by.
