Or perhaps the gods are personifications of programs, thus each controls a portion of the program (fire, war, etc.) and they can be appealed to effect things in their followers favor. Since they are part of the DungeonAtrix, they ultimately want to keep followers in the dark about the true nature of things, lest they lose their power.You could really take these ideas and expand and expand on them. What, for instance, is the world outside the Dungeon like? Is it stark and full of magictech? Sleak and sci-fi? Or something else.This really begs to be written up, perhaps as one of those EN Mini Setting books.</blockquote>
