Awesome News for Savages (or anyone wanting to try Savage Worlds)

Less than a year ago, Savage Worlds updated their core rulebook to the Savage Worlds Deluxe - a beautiful hardcover book. The only downside was the higher entry cost to play an awesome game (a full cost hard bound color gaming book).

Well, they just announced the explorer's sized version is available for pre-order. What shocked me was they kept the same price as the prior version explorer edition -- $9.99! It surprised me given that Deluxe gives you more Savage Goodies (it is Deluxe after all) than the prior version and time has passed - they had hinted at a higher price. So for them to keep it at $9.99 was unexpected in my mind.

So if you want $1,000 of lovin' in a $10 package, here ya go!

$10 for the original Savage Worlds Explorer's Edition was a fantastic bargain. I'd be willing to pay a few bucks more for the next Explorer's Edition as well.

And (iirc) the PDF for an additional $5? This is a no-brainer. Go get this, folks. I ran Savage Worlds recently, and despite me screwing up some rules one person called it the most fun RPG they'd ever played.

It's digest-sized as opposed to the hardcover.
