Their colors are vibrant and range from a rich brown to a glossy bronze, deep blue’s and emerald greens. They love to eat sweet fruits and snack on insects. They hate thread and almost instinctively swarm to fight it, especially when it threatens a favored feeding ground. If a situation gets out of hand they can always teleport away.</p><p></p><p>Combat:</p><p>Fire lizards do not like to fight, they’d rather play and eat. They have a viscious bite and can chew firestone like their larger cousins.</p><p></p><p>Breathe fire: by chewing and digesting firestone a fire lizard can breath a line of fire 30’ long for 1d8 dmg (refl save for half, DC 13). They normally have to teleport to where the firestone is, eat some, then teleport back. A ‘dose’ of fire stone lasts for 2 blasts, they can breathe every 1d4 rounds. Eating more takes a standard action that may provoke an AoO (which is why they teleport away first)</p><p></p><p> Telepathy (Su): A dragon of Pern can communicate telepathically with any creature within 100ft that has language.</p><p></p><p> Linked Minds (Su): Fire lizards that are within 300ft of each other are not considered flanked unless they all are actually flanked. (MotP 198, Linked Minds).</p><p></p><p> Psionics (Sp): 5x/day— teleport. Manifester level equals HD (1). </p><p> Attk/Def modes (Sp): At will—mind thrust/empty mind</p><p></p><p> Immunities: immune to all sleep and paralytic effects (arcane/divine/poison/psionic)</p><p> Vision: low-light vision and darkvision 60ft.</p><p> Skills: They have a +4 to Sense Motive Checks (included).</p><p></p><p>Languages: Fire lizards can not speak, but they understand draconic and common. Their telepathy allows them to communicate with any creature that has language though. They also communicate through chirps, growls and whistles.</p><p></p><p>Fire Lizards as Familiars: requires Improved Familiar Feat, 12+cha or animal empathy as a class skill, any non-evil alignment.
