Hello all, I've been away for awhile, so let me (re)introduce myself.

My name is Chuck Rice, I did a lot of RPG design work in the d20 days, most for d20 Modern. I wrote Blood and Fists, Blood and Space, Legends of Excalibur, and some supplements for Darwin's World. I then started Vigilance Press, where I wrote books like the USHER Dossiers and lots of WWII supers supplements for ICONS.

Took a break from RPGs while finding my footing at a new day job but I got the itch again. Since January of 2014 I have been writing and playtesting a game called AZ: After Zombies.

Here's some highlights about the game:
  • The game uses a new system designed from the ground up for realistic survival horror.
  • Survivors have to cope with physical injuries, psychological breakdowns, group cohesion and more to survive.
  • The game will be an "all in one" with everything you need to play, including a campaign setting and introductory adventure.
  • The game will release early 2015 in PDF and Print on Demand. Price and exact release date to be announced.
  • The book is currently 170 pages give or take and development is almost complete.
  • Jon Gibbons, the fantastic artist of Vigilance Press' many fine WWII supplements will be providing art.

I will be posting more updates here but the best place to find out more about the game is by joining the After Zombies Facebook page.

Thanks for listening and if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them.

“Ran into one of those infected once. Killed it without a second thought. Looked just like a garden-variety shambler to me. Then a day later I got sick. Then two days after that, I could barely walk. If not for that Avery fella finding me and taking me to the U, I’d have died for sure.” Tom Manning, Roughneck
