OK, here is the query so far. what do you guys think about it? i think three critters is the perfect size for this theme, because that gives us a lot of room to work with each one. :) Creature Catalog Proposal: Invaders! This proposal involves three "evil races from other places" that like to invade other worlds to cause their mayhem. Diurge Outsider (CR 7) Diurges are terrible denizens of a nightmare realm in the Negative Energy plane known as Darkrealm, a nightmarishly twisted version of a Material Plane world. Diurges live to serve the evil lords of Darkrealm, but are occasionally ordered to travel to the Material Plane to spread chaos. These beings are extremely sadistic, hating everything that lives, and willing to manipulate anyone in the process of achieving their goals. They are horrible conquerors, subjugating other life forms ruthlessly, and causing pain wherever they go. Diurges are similar to humans in appearance expect for their skin color, and usually have either white or metallic-red hair. A diurge can fight with a bastard sword, and its touch deals negative energy damage (like a chill touch spell) as well as energy drain. A diurge also has psionic powers, but it can be turned as if it were undead. Originally found in Dragon Magazine #141. Ba'atun Outsider (CR 1) The ba'atun are vicious, primate-like creatures that find death and destruction as their constant companions. Their origin is surrounded in mystery - perhaps they were demons made from snow, perhaps they are exiles from a frozen realm, or perhaps they have always been on the Material plane, lurking. Ba'atun live in the mountains, and when active they dominate the landscape with terror. Common ba'atun have a screech that inspires terror in living creatures, and their leaders have far more dangerous abilities and equipment. Originally found in module UK7 - Dark Clouds Gather. Reave Outsider (CR 1) The reaves are a terrible race of violent marauders and plunderers that wander the Outer Planes. Normally they are content to prey on the weak and defenseless, but they will hire out as mercenaries for anyone who will pay them. A band of reaves has a strict semi-military chain of command, and will honor any agreement they make. Reaves are humanoid in shape, but extremely bulky, and have four arms with which they can wield a pair of two-handed weapons, or two weapons and two shields. A reave can fade into the Astral plane and return in a different spot to surprise his foes. Originally found in Planescape Monstrous Compendium II.
