The decision, such as it is, has already been made (apparently).  Now, that's not to say that Archon needs to slaughter the child to remain faithful to his oath - but the oath must be considered, and I believe that as of the present (with the existing logic out there) Archon has broken his oath to hold the Circle of the Phoenix (and the accordant dedication to the Phoenix Throne) above all other things.  If, for instance, the Circle were to consider the child's life paramount to the cause (and to the safety and continuation of the throne, etc.) THEN you might be OK.  But that *is* a matter of consensus.  How important is the child?  More important than any of you?  IC, none of you have any right to get huffy (real or pretended) when someone questions your judgement on personal matters - you consciously chose to subordinate them to the collective good when you made the oath, and I believe I made it clear numerous times that I would be zealous in enforcing both the spirit and the letter of your promises, particularly as they imparted some significant in-game benefits.</blockquote>
