The wild boys are calling On their way back from the fire ------The barbarian horde has just return from a pilgrimage to a sacred volcano In august moon's surrender to A dust cloud on the rise ---- their return on horses blows up a dust cloud Wild boys fallen far from glory Reckless and so hungered ---- The barbarians that were not allowed to go on the pilgrimage is jealous and angry at those that have. On the razors edge you trail Because there's murder by the roadside In a sore afraid new world ---- There were a LOT of these that didn't go and they lay ambush on the rest. The pc's are just innocent bystanders that got in the way. They tried to break us, looks like they'll try again --- It had been a journey of several ambushes so far. Wild boys never lose it Wild boys never chose this way Wild boys never close your eyes Wild boys always shine ---- The ambushers are not acting on their own, they have been dominated by some other force or being. (preferably use a coven of mind flayers) You got sirens for a welcome There's bloodstain for your pain And your telephone been ringing While you're dancing in the rain --- When not attacking anyone, the dominated barbarians are dancing in the nude under the open sky, madness fills their thoughts. Wild boys wonder where is glory Where is all you angels Now the figureheads have fell --- Betrayal inside the horde, and the leaders fall And lovers war with arrows Over secrets they could tell --- These are the new leaders vying for position using blackmail and assassination. Summary: pc's meet up with a friendly horde, they join the festivities. They get ambushed along with the horde. They get embroiled with the internal politics that eventually lead to the deaths of the leaders and the new ones rising to take their places. The coven of mind flayers might be in league or even successful in dominating the new leaders to take over a powerful tribe of warriors. It's up to the PCs to stop the Mind Flayer's plan before the barbarians wage a ravaging war over the land.
