Dragon Rules of me.

1. I am old fart I did not get that way by being stupid. Old age and treachery is good.
2. Adventurers are a bother and may cause acid indigestion. Especially paladins
3. Spending silver wisely will give gold in return.
4. Least amount of work for great gain. I will let my minions do most my work for me.
5. I will only learn spells useful for me. I can buy scrolls if necessary.
6. Minions should not know what I am. If they find out I will invite them for lunch.
7. Greed is good but survival is great. So I will not attract the attention of kings, paladins and other do gooders. Unless I know I can take them. I will make sure I have two or three escape plans.
8. I will protect my lair through various methods. False lairs, protection spells and scrolls are a beginning.
9. Cooperation with others is nice. So I will play nice with high power wizards, they can higher spells than I, which I need. I can out live them or have my minions prepare them for lunch in five or six years.
10. I will use my natural abilities to my benefit. Better sight, better strength, good teeth.
11. I will leave no witnesses to my attacks. A missing adventurer or person may be in the next county over with a new wife . Witnesses may lead to adventurers.

The following was from Uncle Red an old red dragon who by the sea and gain 11 levels in sorcerer.
So young kobold you want to know What Uncle Red would do if he lived by the seaside.
Hum ports are 1 hr to 4 hrs away. I can cast up to 5 level spells.

1. Spies are nice. See rule 6. They will find out what ships are carrying what. So my targets will be selected for treasure content. But see rule 1. I will sink and eat the occasional banana boat or tramp steamer.
2. I can fly so their no reason my entrance should be accessible by Joe the adventurer. He can become a nanny goat or fly in but if he wants a beautifully landscape entrance. Joe needs to hunt gold dragons.
3. My strikes do not have to take place out side my lair. Spells and silver and an adventurers with magic carry items can be mine. So I can make multiple trips to haul my stash.
4. Night is my friend. My sight is better than sailors.

Spells
Water breathing is good. I can walk or learn to swim. Smacking rock against hulls result in broken hulls and water soften dragon treats.
Teleport allows me to escape.
Lightning bolt and Fireball can make appear that adventurers attack the ship.

I will give no more because adventurers can read and will get their hands on my personal letters. They say they care about freedom and life and evil to be greedy. They why do they try to kill me and take my honestly gain wealth.
