This is meant to be available to multiple classes. DRAGOON “Leap for the sky and never look back.” Prerequisites: Trained in Athletics; Proficiency with any polearm or spear. Trained in combat by the dragonborn elite, you are a Dragon Knight, or Dragoon. Your trademarks are reach weapons, improbable leaps, and fearsome strikes. You feel at home on dragonback and are both trained and obligated to slay evil dragons. Dragoon Path Features Dragoon Training (11th level): When jumping, reduce the divisor of your check by half; for example, a running high jump divides your check result by 2, not 5 (2.5 rounded down). You can also use Athletics to perform “Reduce Falling Damage” as described under the Acrobatics skill. Furthermore, you gain a +1 bonus to damage rolls with spears and polearms, and your weapon damage rolls against dragons deal an additional 1[W] damage. Threatening Action (11th level): Instead of using an action point to gain an extra action, you can instead gain Threatening Reach 2 until the end of the encounter. You must be wielding a spear or polearm to use this ability, and you are only considered to have Threatening Reach 2 if you are currently wielding a spear or polearm. Flying Leap (16th level): Once per encounter when you jump, you gain a Fly (hover) speed equal to your Strength modifier until the end of your next turn. Dragoon Exploits Dragon Strike Dragoon Attack 11 With a powerful leap, you fly toward your adversary and thrust your weapon fiercely like a dragon's deadly fangs. Encounter ✦ Martial, Weapon Standard Action Melee or Ranged weapon Requirement: You must be wielding a spear or polearm. Target: One creature Attack: Strength vs. AC Hit: 3[W] + Strength modifier damage. Special: If you make this attack while airborne (not touching a solid surface) and above your enemy, you deal an additional 1[W] + Strength modifier damage. Duck and Cover Dragoon Utility 12 Under your direction, your allies are made safe against the dragon's mightiest attack. Daily ✦ Martial Standard Action Close burst 5 Target: You and each ally within burst. Effect: The targets gain resistance to dragon breath weapons equal to one-half your level + your Strength modifier until the end of the encounter. Pierce the Heart Dragoon Attack 20 Your sharp weapon leaves a deep, gaping hole in your enemy. Daily ✦ Martial, Weapon Standard Action Melee or Ranged weapon Requirement: You must be wielding a spear or polearm. Target: One creature Attack: Strength vs. Reflex Hit: 4[W] + Strength modifier damage, plus ongoing 10 damage (save ends). Miss: Half damage, plus ongoing 5 damage (save ends).
