I'm in a campaign, playing a Worldthought Medic (psionic healer) and I want to play a character that gives all her wealth to charity. At the same time, however, I don't want to be perpetually behind the other party members in strength because of this. What I'd like to do is take something similar to Vow of Poverty, only more reasonable and oriented towards a psionic empathic healer.
My idea so far is to gain the following benefits:
- Increased Wisdom and Constitution (the two stats needed for the character)
- Fast Healing, so that my Empathic Transfer spells don't kill me outright.
- Bonuses to saving throws (especially against disease, poison, and death)
Nothing else is really important, although if I could grant some benefits to other party members who are part of my psychic network, that would really contribute to the feel I'm looking for.
Contextually, the DM is giving out a lot of party wealth, about 30% more than the DM's guide recommends.
Advice would be great. I usually do my own homebrew but Vow of Poverty has a reputation to it, and I know Enworld has some of the best insight available concerning these matters.
