D&D 5E Barbarian Totem: The Bunny

El Gallo Negro

First Post
I'm playing a game with a very lenient DM who is willing to let us customize things quite freely. Nothing really gets out of hand and it's quite fun trying to come up with inventive and original concepts.

I'm currently playing a pretty hard-headed female Half-orc barbarian who is trying to pursue the person who stole her precious childhood stuffed animal named Bunny. Her obsession and thirst for revenge is so powerful that she will eventually take on the the physical traits of bunnies: long teeth, fluffy fur, and maybe long ears.

I am looking at going down the totem path and have been considering creating a totem of the rabbit/bunny. So far, I think that the first feature will involve something with my jumping ability/distance.

What comes to your mind when you hear about the totem of the bunny?

Thanks for reading.

The first thing that pops into my head is that it needs some sort of Charismatic ability to confound and confuse her enemies.

I mean, you will be referencing Bugs at some point, right?

Ignoring the Bugs thing (and Playboy), I'd say that movement/speed benefits would be the focus of my design. Perhaps going with making the character a whirling dervish type, either with two weapon fighting or flurry of blows stuff for offence

Thanks! I love the idea of burrowing speed. That's exactly the type of bizarre kind of skill I'd be looking for.

As for the flurry of blows/whirling dervish idea, I'm going to throw it out to the DM and the group and see what we come up with.

I think I may have an aspect of the beast feature that let's me jump my full distance without a running start, too. I can see it now...burrowing, jumping, and smashing things in a flurry!

High speed is a must. We have rabbits in our yard all the time, and our border collies chase them. Never came closer than 3 feet to catching one.

They're elusive, too. They corner on a dime. Perhaps bonuses to evasion type checks.

Thinking in mythic terms, rabbits are often associated with luck and trickery. That stuff didn't originate with Bugs.
